MEET OUR PASTOR
Bishop MJ Jefferson

Bishop MJ Jefferson is a native of Richmond, Virginia. (CHURCH HILL). He is the youngest of nine children born to the late Deacon Frank L. Jefferson, Sr., and Mrs. Shirley M. Jefferson. He has two beautiful daughters, three sons and two grandsons.
Bishop Jefferson’s education includes George Mason primary school, Armstrong High School, and Virginia Union University, in Richmond Virginia. Bishop Jefferson was licensed at the Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Richmond, VA as the youngest preacher in the church’s history. He was later ordained at First Union Baptist Church in Richmond, VA.


Bishop Jefferson is also a member of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Richmond and Vicinity where he serves as the Correspondence Secretary. He is a member of the Hampton Ministers Conference and is Council Advisor at The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club. Bishop Jefferson serves as senior pastor at the Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Richmond VA, which was one of the fastest growing churches in the pandemic. Bishop Jefferson’s vision is to provide a needful ministry that seeks to engage people throughout the church and the community. Bishop Jefferson has a heart to serve the community and show the love of Jesus Christ through authentic deeds and genuine love.
